This is a non-profit server and not engage in money making business. This server was created by enthusiasts game developer and has no intention of competing the Official Ran Online server.

We, the authors of FreeRan Server believe that this server is not illegal since:

1. The source files / codes have been released to the public and as of December 19, 2006, the global for Ran Online service has been shut down. which is the old (http://playran.com) [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ran_Online].

2. Ran Online files has been released to the public for interested Game Developers at a FREE MMORPG development community forums. All files are available for downloads. [RageZone and SGHO and PR].

3. This is NON DONATION Server
We, the authors of FreeRanServer created this server for reasons:

1. To enhance our programming skills. - (Visual Basic, VB.NET and Visual C++)

2. To enhance our graphics authoring skills. - (Adobe PhotoShop)

3. To enhance our web development skills. - (PHP and ASP)

4. To enhance our game development skills. - (In-Game Moderating)

5. To enhance our animation skills. - (3DS Max)

6. Have a better understanding on Game authoring, GamePlay and GameDesign.
